Dhivya has an undergraduate degree from the University of Sussex in International Relations with Development Studies and a postgraduate degree in Violence, Conflict and Development at the School of Oriental and African studies, University of London. Her area of specialisation is the political economy of violence and conflict and is currently working as the research coordinator as part of the youth unit for the International Alert Sri Lanka office.
