Nawaz Mohamed is a peace building and conflict transformation practitioner with over a decade experience working with diverse communities, areas and sectors. He specializes in long-term process facilitation of groups and organizations in areas of peace building and conflict transformation. He has vital experience of working on nexus between business and economy vs peace building at local, national and International level, more specifically in Sri Lanka. He has studied the role played by the business in the Northern Ireland peace process. He was one of the founding facilitators of Business for Peace Alliance (BPA), Sri Lanka. He has extensive experience in designing and facilitation of peace building and conflict transformation workshops with politicians, women, civil society and business leaders. He has previously worked with International Alert, Care International and FORUT and he currently work with Sida based in Colombo. Nawaz holds post graduate level qualification in Social Science and International Relations.
